Los Angeles City, California Fireboat 2
"Ralph J. Scott"

Photo Summer 2000

The City and Port of Los Angeles, California
have been protected by a fleet of fireboats for years.
In 2003, the city replaced 4 of its older boats with new boats.
A fifth boat, built in 1962 continues to serve.

The 1925 "Ralph J Scott" was among the largest and more famous
of the LAFD boats.  It has been retained and will be part of a display
next to Fire Station 112 and Fireboat 2, as well as the USS Battleship Iowa.
